Consul General attends OPEN-Chicago’s Event
Consul General Tariq Karim attended a reception hosted by OPEN-Chicago (Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs) in Oakbrook.
Speaking at the occasion, the Consul General appreciated the role of OPEN-Chicago and its members in promoting entrepreneurship and professional excellence. He underlined economic diplomacy as a key priority for him to advance mutually beneficial trade and economic partnership between Pakistan and the U.S. Midwest region. Highlighting the immense potential and opportunities offered by Pakistan in various sectors and the steps taken by the Government to facilitate investors and overseas Pakistanis (i.e. improvement in Ease of Doing Business and liberal investment regime, liberalization of visa policy, RDA), the Consul General encouraged the participants to play a greater role in promoting investment, innovation, technology transfer and entrepreneurship in Pakistan. He also assured them of his full support and cooperation in this regard.
