Consul General attends meeting dedicated to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Hyderabad-Toledo (US) Sister-City relationship
Speaking at the occasion, the Consul General appreciated the growing engagement between Hyderabad and Toledo in the wake of the Sister-City Agreement signed between the two sides in February 2011, which provided a framework to enhance cooperation between the two sides, particularly in the fields of commerce, education, culture, tourism, technology transfer and agriculture. He highlighted Hyderabad as one of the major cities in Pakistan with rich history & culture, strong industrial base and its proximity to ports and shipping facilities. He also briefed the participants on the steps taken by the Government of Pakistan to promote trade, investment and tourism.
The Consul General emphasized that promotion of economic diplomacy in the Midwest region was one of his key priorities and he was looking forward to working with the City of Toledo and other cities in the Midwest to enhance mutually beneficial partnership. He assured the participants Consulate General’s full support and cooperation in advancing common goals and initiatives.
