Consul General Tariq Karim received the President and CEO of RUSH (The Rush University System for Health), Dr. Omar Lateef, at the Consulate General.
During the meeting, the Consul General appreciated Dr. Lateef’s outstanding leadership and commitment in advancing quality healthcare and fostering innovation at RUSH, which is a leading healthcare institution in the U.S. He highlighted the importance of strengthening partnership between Pakistan and the U.S. in the field of healthcare and medical research. Dr. Omar Lateef, a prominent member of the Pakistani-American community, briefed about the Rush University System for Health (which includes RUSH University Medical Center, RUSH University, RUSH Oak Park Hospital, RUSH Copley Medical Center and RUSH Health), highlighting its achievements as a top ranking institution. The two agreed to work together to promote institutional linkages between RUSH and Pakistani healthcare institutions.
