Eid Milan Event in Chicago

The Pakistani Ladies Association in the Midwest U.S. (PLAM), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Pakistan in Chicago, organized an event to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha. The event was well-attended by community members, women leaders, and Pakistani students.
Speaking at the occasion, Consul General Tariq Karim extended his Eid greetings to the guests. He highlighted the importance of Eid-ul-Adha, emphasizing its values of sacrifice, forbearance, and compassion. The Consul General commended the initiative to celebrate Eid together, highlighting that it provided an opportunity to share happiness and promote mutual understanding and friendship.
The Consul General expressed his appreciation to PLAM for its efforts and contributions in promoting Pakistani culture, the true image of Pakistan, the role of women, and other shared goals. He commended Pakistani-American women for their roles as leaders, innovators, and change-makers, and encouraged them to continue playing their vital role in building bridges to foster closer ties between the two peoples and countries.
In her remarks, the patron of PLAM, Mrs. Aasma Tariq, briefed on PLAM’s aims and objectives, which include promoting Pakistani culture and strengthening the role of Pakistani-American women, among other goals.
Guests at the event enjoyed traditional Pakistani cuisine and music, as well as various entertainment segments and activities throughout the evening.
