Consul General Tariq Karim attended Sukhanwar Chicago: 38th Grand Aalmi Mushaira held in Schaumburg, Illinois. The event was attended by poets from North America and Pakistan, including renowned Pakistani poet Abbas Tabish.
In his remarks, the Consul General appreciated the role of Pakistani Diaspora and organizations in promoting Pakistani culture, Urdu language and poetry. He highlighted the importance of platforms like Mushaira, which bring people together through the universal language of poetry, while expressing admiration for the talent and efforts of the Urdu poets attending the event. The Consul General also presented awards to literary figures and organizers for their accomplishments.
