Consul General participates in Launch of Pakistani biscuit company EBM’s New Product in Illinois

Consul General Tariq Karim participated in the launch event of the new product “Tiffen Cake Rusk” by English Biscuits Manufacturer (EBM), a prominent biscuit company in Pakistan. The event held in Illinois was attended by businessmen, distributors and elected officials. Representatives of EBM gave a detailed briefing on the company’s product portfolio, emphasizing their superior quality and strong market demand. It was noted that EBM, founded as Peek Freans Pakistan Ltd. in 1966, now accounts for almost half of the domestic market with over 16 brands.
In his remarks, Consul General Tariq Karim emphasized economic diplomacy as one of his key priorities. Commending the company’s launch of the new product, the Consul General highlighted that Pakistan’s economic and trade partnership with the Midwest region was expanding, with an increasing number of Pakistani products becoming visible in local markets. He underscored the enormous potential for further strengthening economic and trade ties between Pakistan and the Midwest region, assuring the traders and businessmen of the Consulate General’s full support.
Consul General Tariq Karim was also presented with an award “in recognition of his invaluable contribution towards promoting the Pakistani community and business” in the U.S. Midwest region.
