Speaking on WTTW’s Chicago Tonight Consul General Tariq Karim highlighted the widespread devastation caused by unprecedented floods in Pakistan and the Government of Pakistan’s coordinated rescue and relief operations by mobilizing all resources. He stated that the sheer scale of this climate-induced calamity had stretched Pakistan’s resources and capacity to the limit, thus necessitating support from international community. Highlighting the responsibility of the international community, the Consul General made an appeal for humanitarian assistance to deal with this climatic disaster.
