Consul General spoke as Keynote Speaker at Interfaith virtual meeting held to Promote Peace

Consul General Tariq Karim participated as the keynote speaker at an interfaith Zoom meeting organized by Common World Alliance (CWA) and MASCH as part of their 4th Anniversary Convention.
In his address, the Consul General emphasized the significance of inter-religious and inter-cultural dialogue in fostering peace and harmony. He delved into the Islamic perspective on promoting peace to establish a just and harmonious society, highlighting the importance of resolving conflicts through dialogue and reconciliation.
Emphasizing Pakistan’s rich history as a cradle of ancient civilizations and its respect for cultural and religious diversity, the Consul General highlighted the country’s commitment to upholding equal rights and freedoms for all citizens, regardless of belief or creed. He elaborated on Pakistan’s efforts to empower minorities. The Consul General stated that Pakistan will continue to advocate for peace, development, and mutual prosperity through building bridges and fostering partnerships.
The Consul General stated that, to promote peace, interfaith dialogue can deepen engagement across all levels by emphasizing shared values over differences. He commended the initiative to involve faith leaders and scholars in promoting dialogue and understanding for a more peaceful, just, and compassionate world.
