Consulate General of Pakistan in Chicago held an event to commemorate Pakistan’s Defense and Martyrs’ Day. The event was attended by members of the Pakistani-American community and Consulate staff. In his remarks, Consul General Tariq Karim highlighted the significance of Defense Day in the history of Pakistan while paying tribute to the martyrs who courageously laid down their lives to successfully protect their homeland and freedom. He stated that the day symbolizes an enduring display of unity, indomitable spirit of our people, and unmatched valor and sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces. The event concluded with prayers for peace and prosperity of Pakistan.
