75th #IndependenceDay of Pakistan celebrated at Glendale Heights
Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General thanked Mayor Khokhar for organizing the ceremony and congratulated the entire Pakistani- American community on Pakistan’s Independence Day. He, inter alia, highlighted the: historic significance of the Independence Day and Pakistan’s Movement; Government’s initiatives to facilitate the overseas Pakistanis; commendable role played by the strong Pakistani-American community in the U.S. Midwest in the socio-economic development of the two countries; and, scope for enhancing economic partnership and people-to-people interactions between the two countries. He encouraged the Pakistani diaspora to continue to play their role as a bridge between the two countries for advancing mutually beneficial partnership.
