Consul General Tariq Karim attended a reception hosted by OPEN-Chicago (Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs), today.
Speaking at the occasion, the Consul General lauded OPEN-Chicago as a vibrant forum dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship, professional excellence and networking within Pakistani-American community in the greater Chicagoland and the Midwest.
The Consul General said that it would be a key priority for him to pursue economic diplomacy aimed at advancing mutually beneficial trade and economic partnership between Pakistan and the U.S. Midwest region. Highlighting the immense potential and opportunities offered by Pakistan in various fields (i.e. IT, Tourism, infrastructure, manufacturing) and the steps taken by the Government to facilitate investors and overseas Pakistanis (i.e. Ease of doing business, liberalization of visa policy, Roshan Digital Account), the Consul General encouraged the OPEN-Chicago members to play a greater role in promoting investment, innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan, including through highlighting opportunities to their local business associates, and assured them of his full support and cooperation in this regard.
Leadership and members of OPEN-Chicago assured the Consul General of their full support and collaboration in advancing Pakistan’s economic partnership with the Midwest region and promoting entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
