Members of Pakistani-American community in Chicago and suburban areas hosted a reception in honor of Consul General Tariq Karim. It was attended by community leaders including elected State officials.
After the event, the Consul General was also invited to visit the Sabeel Center, which is a community initiative of the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA).
Consul General Tariq Karim thanked the community members for arranging the get-together and encouraged them to continue playing important role in the socio-economic development of Pakistan. He also appreciated the management of Sabeel Center for providing a forum to community and hoped that the Center will continue to promote understanding, harmony and knowledge across the social spectrum.
