Consul General Tariq Karim met Hon’ble Jesse White, Secretary of State of Illinois today. Secretary White welcomed the Consul General in Chicago and assured him his support in promoting bilateral cooperation. He also appreciated the contribution made by the Pakistani-American community and professionals in the socio-economic development of the State. The Consul General highlighted the role of Pakistani-American community and thanked the Secretary of State for his continued support to the community. He stated that the Pakistani community will continue to play its preeminent role as a bridge between the two countries. He also expressed his desire to further enhance mutually beneficial partnership between the two sides in diverse fields, particularly in the promotion of trade and economy, which provide promising opportunities.
