Consul General Tariq Karim received senior officials of Bolingbrook and other dignitaries at his residence. They included, among others, Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta, former Mayor Roger C. Claar, former Illinois Senator Kirk W. Dillard and Police Liaison Commissioner Bolingbrook Talat Rashid.
In his interaction, the Consul General highlighted the importance of Pakistan-US partnership in various fields and role of vibrant Pakistani-American community in the Midwest region, including in Bolingbrook which have consistently contributed in promoting mutual friendship through various initiatives like Bolingbrook-Sialkot sister-city relationship. He underlined the need to enhance people-to-people interactions and expand economic partnership between the two side.
The participants thanked the Consul General and expressed their full support and cooperation in enhancing the mutually beneficial cooperation.
