Consul General Tariq Karim attended a reception hosted by Cook County Treasurer Ms. Maria Pappas with members of Pakistani community today, to unveil Cook County’s new informational brochures in Urdu. Cook County is the most populous county in the State of Illinois and the second most populous county in the United States. The Consul General welcomed the inclusion of Urdu as a County’s additional informational language and said that it will better serve the Pakistani community by providing them greater understanding of local system and procedures.
