Consul General Tariq Karim attended the Halal Fest held in Naperville, Illinois.
Speaking at the occasion, the Consul General appreciated the efforts of Illinois Muslim Chamber of Commerce for organizing the mega Halal Fest in Naperville and providing a platform to the Muslim community and businesses to celebrate the richness of Halal foods and their cultural significance. He stated that Halal food has gained worldwide recognition for its emphasis on ethical practices and nutritional value.
The Consul General stated that such events foster unity and inclusivity as food has a unique ability to break cultural barriers and bring people of diverse backgrounds together. He also appreciated Illinois for its culture of inclusiveness and diversity that has provided opportunities to the thriving Muslim community. He also emphasized the contribution of the vibrant Pakistani-American community in the socio-economic development of Illinois.
Consul General Tariq Karim also highlighted Pakistan as an important business and tourist destination in the world, significance of the Pak-US partnership, and opportunities for cooperation in halal food industry.
