Consul General Tariq Karim attended the 2nd annual Naperville Halal Fest held in Naperville, Illinois. Speaking at the occasion, the Consul General appreciated the efforts of the Illinois Muslim Chamber of Commerce for organizing the mega Halal Fest and providing a platform for the Muslim community and businesses to celebrate the richness of Halal foods and their cultural significance. He also praised IFANCA for their contribution to promoting Halal products. He emphasized that such events foster unity, inclusivity, and friendship, as food breaks cultural barriers and brings people of diverse backgrounds together. The Consul General highlighted that Halal food has gained worldwide recognition for its emphasis on ethical standards, sustainable practices, and nutritional value.
Consul General Tariq Karim also emphasized Pakistan as an important business and tourist destination, the significance of the Pak-US partnership, and the opportunities for cooperation in the halal food industry.
