Consul General attends PPS Event in Illinois

Consul General Tariq Karim attended the opening ceremony of the PPS House, hosted by the Pakistan-descent Physicians Society (PPS) in Forest Park, Illinois. The event was attended by members of the Pakistani-American community and elected officials, including Congressman Danny K. Davis and Forest Park Mayor Rory E. Hoskins. Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General commended the PPS for its longstanding charitable and capacity-building initiatives in both the U.S. and Pakistan.He praised the PPS House project for providing accommodation to new Pakistani physicians and offering guidance on pathways to U.S. medical residency training programs. He also appreciated the efforts of PPS President Dr. Tariq Butt and his team. The Consul General urged the Pakistani-American community and professionals to continue playing an active role in the socio-economic development of both countries.
