Consul General Tariq Karim attended a community Eid celebration event organized by Dr. Munir Chaudry, President IFANKA (Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America), and Dr. Ejaz Rahim at the Sabeel Center in Des Plaines, Illinois. The event was attended by a large number of guests. Speakers highlighted that Sabeel Center has a gallery to showcase the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), a community education and senior activity place.
Speaking at the occasion, the Consul General emphasized the spirit of celebrating Eid together which provided an opportunity to promote unity, harmony and empathy towards each other. He appreciated the role of Sabeel Centre and IFANKA, a Hilal food initiative, in promoting culture and providing community services.
