Consul General Tariq Karim attended the award ceremony of the Liberty Cup final cricket tournament 2022 organized by the Bolingbrook Premier League (BPL) at Bolingbrook, IL. Mr. Hassan Dastgir as well as other members of Pakistani-American community contributed in holding the tournament.
Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General welcomed the Pakistani cricketers Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Irfan, Sohail Tanveer & Sohail Khan who participated in the Liberty Cup. He congratulated the winning team and players. Highlighting the Pakistan’s rich sporting culture, the Consul General appreciated the BPL and Pakistani-American cricket community for their contribution in introducing and promoting cricket in Chicagoland. He encouraged them to continue to play their active role in promoting people-to-people interaction, culture and sports ties.
