Consul General Tariq Karim participated and led the Pakistan Independence Day celebrations and Parade on Devon Avenue. Senior elected officials, including Congressman Danny Davis, also joined the celebrations. In his remarks, the Consul General congratulated the members of Pakistani-American community on the 76th Anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day while emphasizing the historical significance of the occasion. Recalling Quaid’s principles of Unity, Faith and Discipline, the Consul General highlighted the need to renew commitment for Pakistan.
