Consul General Tariq Karim attended the NED alumni event in Naperville, Illinois. The event was attended by a large number of NED alumni members from across the U.S.
Speaking at the occasion, the Consul General highlighted that alumni gatherings like these strengthen the bonds of friendship while paving the way for greater collaboration and a brighter future. He appreciated the role of NED University as one of the oldest institutions in Pakistan and a center of excellence for engineering and technology that has produced graduates of international repute. He stated that NED alumni, like rest of the Pakistani-American community, have not only excelled in their respective fields but also actively contributing in the socio-economic development of the two countries.
The Consul General stated that, despite various challenges and odds, Pakistan has made significant progress in various fields in the last 76 years. He highlighted Pakistan as an important business, investment and tourist destination in the world. The Consul General encouraged NED alumni in the U.S. to continue to play their active role in the economic development of Pakistan and its technological transformation.
