Consul General Tariq Karim met Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Shah, President Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi. They exchanged ideas on promoting Pakistani arts & culture in the Midwest region through various initiatives, including by holding festivals/conferences.
The Consul General appreciated the efforts of Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi and Mr. Shah to promote Pakistani arts and assured him his full support in this regard. Speaking at an event held at the East-West University in Chicago, the Consul General emphasized that art was an effective medium of promoting cross-cultural understanding & goodwill and cultural diplomacy remained one of his key priorities. The Consul General also highlighted Pakistan’s rich and diverse cultural heritage and multiple creative and artistic traditions.
